🍦The “Just One Bite” Lie🍦

Lexo went for a peaceful walk in Second Life and made a very responsible decision:

“I’m not having dessert today.” 

Then she saw the ice cream stand. Five minutes later, she was holding a dessert approximately the size of her emotional problems. 

“It’s mostly fruit”, Lexo whispered, staring at the tiny strawberry on top. 

Technically, there was fruit. So obviously, this was now a healthy snack. She carefully took one small spoonful.

“Mmm… just one bite.” Then another. And another.

Suddenly Lexo realized she had been standing there for ten minutes, guarding the cup like it contained the last ice cream in Second Life. Someone nearby asked:

“Can I try some?”

Lexo slowly looked at them. Then at her dessert. Then back at them.

“Absolutely. The strawberry is available.”  

Because Lexo believes in sharing. She just has very specific terms and conditions. And that is how another innocent afternoon in Second Life became a legally binding custody battle over whipped cream. 🍦
